About Us
Dance with your heart.
Your feet will follow.
The Ballroom Dance Preservation Society (BDPS) was formed in May of 2017 with a mission to preserve Ballroom Dancing for future generations through education and events while advocating for the many physical, mental and social benefits that ballroom dancing can bring.
Those who enjoy ballroom dancing have opportunities for more dancing while sharing the joy with those who may not otherwise experience dancing. And everyone can gain from the increased sense of purpose and positive outlook on life that dancing can bring.
We introduce Ballroom Dancing to seniors, children, and those coping with chronic conditions and disabilities such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimers, and cardiovascular conditions. Ballroom Dancing has demonstrated a positive impact on these conditions as well as providing a weight bearing activity that builds bone density, can help in maintaining a healthy weight and improve balance
Ballroom Dancing introduces you to a sea of new people with a common interest and can help overcome the devastating effects that loneliness can bring.
