Hello, I am Kathy Cody I live in Calabash in a wonderful golf community Crow Creek. I moved here 15 years ago from New Jersey to enjoy the weather and golf. Shortly after, I am proud to say I opened a restaurant, Calabash Garden Tea Room & Gift Shop where we serve a traditional English Afternoon Tea. I also opened the Coffee Cottage located in the Calabash Cottages in Calabash NC. I have served as President of the Calabash Merchants Association and am presently the Chairman of the Calabash Summer Concert Series. We have been nominated for the past two years as one of the top five “Concert Series of the Year” by the Carolina Beach Music Awards. Maybe some of you have danced at our concerts in the park in Calabash. I was fundraising and discovered the dance lesson that Sal was offering in Calabash and immediately signed up. I took dance lessons as a young girl and always danced with my father any chance I had at family weddings. I am very appreciative to BDPS for giving me this opportunity to revisit these memories that I hold dear to my heart.
